TEENAGERS stole a wheelchair from a church in Salisbury.

It was taken from the disabled toilet of St Martin's Church, St Martin's Church Street, on January 20.

But police have only today launched an appeal for witnesses.

Four boys, aged around 16 to 18, wearing hoodies and jeans were seen walking past the church and pushing a wheelchair towards the graveyard at around 4.05pm.

PC Andy Windsor said: "We are hoping that the public will help us in identifying the culprits.

"This wheelchair was used by parishioners and was the only one available so this theft has caused significant inconvenience.

"Anyone who has any information about the crime, or who know who was involved, is asked to contact us on 101. Alternatively you can phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
