POLICE say they are having problems with their 999 and 101 services.
In a Tweet this afternoon, Wiltshire Police said 999 lines are being re-routed to neighbouring forces.
And this is causing delays for people trying to dial the non-emergency 101 number.
A police spokesman confirmed 999 calls are still being answered by other forces, but that Wiltshire Police would be deployed to incidents to avoid delays.
And they asked anyone who may be calling 101 to be patient, and to stay on the line if they were experiencing a slightly increased waiting time.
The force said it was working closely with its telephone provider to resolve the issue but could not give an indication on when the problems with the two servies may be resolved.
