CASH, postage stamps and a charity collection tin were stolen during raids on commercial premises at Old Sarum Airfield.

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend on May 26– 29, the hinges were cut and the door forced open at a second hand book shop at the site.

It is believed approximately £150 in cash was stolen along with a number of postage stamps.

A window at another unit was also smashed and a search was carried out inside.

A furniture unit at the business park was also targeted. A window was smashed and about £100 was stolen along with a number of items from a display unit including alcohol.

PC Caroline Ralph said: “We’re appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the business park over the weekend of 26 May to 29 May.

"We believe these incidents are all linked and are carrying out enquiries to identify the offenders. Incidents like this can cause a lot of upset and inconvenience to small independent businesses and we are keen to hear from anyone with information.”
