POLICE in Amesbury gave a positive report to town councillors on Tuesday, with a reduction in crime and calls about antisocial behaviour.
Sgt Martin Phipps reported a total of 42 recorded crimes in the town during June, which is a decrease of 15 compared to the previous month.
He also said only 10 calls were received regarding antisocial behaviour, which continues to be a priority.
Road safety is another priority for Amesbury Police, particularly on London Road where PC Lucy Smith is setting up a speed watch scheme.
Sgt Phipps said there continues to be problems of vehicle noise in Central Car Park and indicated the possibility of a focused police operation to combat it.
