A MUSICIAN, a puppeteer, a soprano singer and a writer have joined forces to create a new puppet theatre to delight young children.
Tin Harlequin Puppet Theatre was born when writer Paul Thomas found the people he needed to bring his stories to life. He had written a piece in London, called Bat Boy, and wanted to tell the story with puppets and music.
When he moved to Salisbury two years ago he carried on writing more characters and stories and, realising he had a possible show on his hands, set about finding a team of people to help him bring it to life.
He found puppeteer Kathy Kelly on the internet, musician Steve Porter was recommended to him, and he found Sophia Brumfitt, who will be reading the stories, on social website MySpace.
They had their last rehearsal for the Different Worlds show, which is made up of four short tales put together, last week and are now hoping to organise a debut performance in September.
