A SUMMER ball at the South Western Hotel in Tisbury raised £2,550 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Appeal.
Paramedic Jo Munday went to the hotel to receive the cheque and thank proprietor Debbie Lea and her staff.
She also met road accident victim AG Bell, who was airlifted to Salisbury District Hospital in October.
After a spell in intensive care Mr Bell was moved to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment for a fractured pelvis.
“He has made a fantastic recovery, and thanked Jo for the speed at which he was able to get to hospital for the life-saving treatment,” said appeal spokesman Melanie Gee.
“Everyone at the appeal would like to thank Debbie and the hotel staff, as well as all those who attended the event and gave so generously. Even the band decided to donate their fee to the charity.”
