CHILDREN from Bemerton Heath Youth Club enjoyed a BBQ and sports games with youngsters from Germany as part of Salisbury’s twinning association with the German town of Xanten.
The event was organised by Bemerton Heath Community Centre and the Twinning Association and, while the forthcoming World Cup was a hot topic, it was teamwork and co-operation that prevailed as the children enjoyed games of dodge ball and basketball as well as a quiz on famous places in Germany and England.
The event was rounded off with a BBQ cooked by the Bemerton Heath Residents Association.
