A MAN who sexually touched a pregnant delivery worker has been given a curfew and ordered to pay his victim £600 in compensation.

Magistrates in Salisbury heard on Thursday that Henry Burt, 54, tried to persuade the woman to come into his home at Netheravon Road, Durrington, for a massage in September last year.

When she refused he grabbed her and tried to kiss her then put his hand up her shirt. She tried to get back in her van but he followed her and leant in through an open window, touching her again before she was able to escape.

Kate Blackmore, prosecuting, said the victim had been left very shaken and upset by the incident.

Paul Jones, defending, said Burt, who now lives in Bridgwater, Somerset, has no previous convictions and suffers from mental health problems.

Burt denied the allegation but was found guilty of sexually touching the woman without her consent at a trial held on June 3.

He was sentenced to a six-month community order with a four-month curfew requirement to be at his home between 7pm and 7am every night.
