Bag a duck for the annual duck race

THE Great Charity Duck Race returns to the Maltings on August 8.
Families are being urged to fly down to the Tourist Information Office and bag a duck to sponsor before they run out.
Businesses can take part, too, in their own special class.
Lindsey Brown, city centre manager, said: “Southons of Salisbury, Personnel Placements and The Mercure White Hart Hotel will be cheering on their very own supersized business ducks and we are thrilled with the prizes that have been coming in and would like to thank all for their generosity. They include: six months’ family membership for the Leisure Centre, plus tickets for the Liberty’s WL Raptor and Reptile Centre in Ringwood, Longdown Activity Farm, Finkley Down Farm, Knoll Gardens and Breamore House. Prizes have also been pledged by the Entertainer and Smyths.
The event, in aid of Age Concern Salisbury District, starts at 1pm.
