FIRE engines, police car rides and parachute teams will all be part of the fun at this year’s emergency services show.
The services in Wiltshire will be able to show people more of what they do as well as providing a family day out.
Among the attractions already confirmed are the South West regional police dog trials, an It’s A Knockout tournament in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a display by the Silver Stars Parachute Team and new and vintage emergency vehicles as well as plenty of demonstrations.
The show is organised by a committee of volunteers, drawn from Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police, Great Western Ambulance Service and the Highways Agency.
Chairman Chris Harvey said that this year’s event was particularly important both because it falls on the anniversary of 9/11 and because it will be taking a break next year because of the operational requirements of the 2012 Olympics.
The Emergency Services Show is being held at Hullavington Airfield, off J17 of the M4, on Sunday, September 11 between 10am and 4pm.
