WILTSHIRE Police are investigating a fraud after a woman’s purse was stolen and her bank cards were used.

The 63-year-old victim from Tisbury had her purse stolen in Salisbury city centre sometime between 1.15pm and 2.10pm on July 17.

It was later discovered that her bank cards had been used to withdraw cash several times that afternoon in Salisbury and Southampton. Attempts were also made to make purchases in Carphone Warehouse and Clarkes in Southampton.

The police have released CCTV images of two women they would like to speak to in connection with the offence.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the women can contact PC Jem Horner of the Salisbury Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
