KEEPING busy is the key to long life, according to a woman who is celebrating reaching her 100th birthday.
Frances Turner marked her 100th birthday on August 26 with a party for her family and friends at her great niece’s house in East Martin.
Mrs Turner moved to Salisbury in 1929 and has lived in the same house in Hillview Road for more than 75 years.
As a young woman she worked for Woolworths and Holloway’s grocery store before joining her late husband William working at a wholesale grocery store in Wilton .
She now enjoys knitting and spending as much time as possible with her family.
