Half term sports activities for children
2:20pm Tuesday 25th September 2012 in News By Corey Ross
CHILDREN are being encouraged to get active this half term by taking part in a range of activities being held in Salisbury.
Camp Active, run by Salisbury City Council’s community coaches will be providing a variety of sports and games from October 29 to November 2, including basketball, cricket, table tennis, rounders, Ultimate Frisbee and capture the flag.
There are activities suitable for children of all ages and abilities, with six active indoor and outdoor sessions from 9am to 4pm at Manor Fields Primary School, Wilton Road.
Community coach Theo Thomlinson said: “It’s great to be able to offer kids who are keen on sport and also kids who may have not had many opportunities or positive experiences in PE and sport, the chance to enjoy sport and exercise in an inclusive and supportive environment.”
