TWO men stole a cheque book and bank statements from an elderly woman in a distraction burglary in Bishopdown.
The men called at a house in Downsway on Saturday, September 22 and offered to clean the guttering, but it is believe that while one of them distracted the woman in her garden, the other went into the house.
Police have released efits of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
DC Sarah Chaplin said: “I am appealing for any information relating to suspicious activity or unusual vehicles in the area and in particular, details of any persons who have been offering to clean guttering in the Bishopdown area of Salisbury.”
Residents are asked to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the area to prevent others from becoming victims.
