CHILDREN at Exeter House School in Salisbury enjoyed their harvest festival service on Friday, and some special guests were there for the occasion.

The school, which caters for children with special needs, has been chosen as the charity of the year for the Salisbury branch of Sainsbury’s, and members of staff from the supermarket came along to join them in their celebrations.

Governor Jackie Lynam said: “It was a really lovely festival.

“The children read poems that they had written and ones that they had chosen. We had an Exeter House choir singing, and we had songs using Makaton sign language so that everyone could join in.”

Parents were also invited to the school to join in the singing and the signing.
