Have your say on anti social behaviour policies

PEOPLE in the Salisbury area are being urged to have their say on how to protect Wiltshire communities from anti social behaviour.

The Wiltshire and Swindon Community Safety Partnership has produced a draft strategy to outline how organisations across the county will work together with victims, perpetrators and communities to reduce the impact of anti social behaviour and tackle the causes.

They want as many individuals and groups as possible to comment on the strategy to make sure it reflects the views of local people.

The consultation closes on December 31 and you can view and comment on the draft strategy at wiltshire.gov.uk/asbstrategyconsultation or get a paper copy from Wiltshire Council on 01225 716610.

The work of the Community Safety Partnership is excellent but there is still some way to go regarding anti social behaviour and alcohol fuelled violence. The work done by New South Wales Police has shown that large drops in A&E admissions can be made by implementing the right policies against ASB.

I'd see if they would work for Wiltshire.
