Rotarians send help to Burma
SALISBURY Rotarians have reacted swiftly to the cyclone disaster in Burma, sending three emergency Aquaboxes, with more to follow next week.
Aquaboxes provide fresh drinking water by filtering out contamination.
Even water from swamps or flooded urban streets can be made safe. They also contain basic survival items - including plastic sheeting, tools, clockwork torches, candles, cooking pots, plates, bowls, mugs and washable nappies for babies.
The club will hold a special auction at Monday's meeting to raise funds for more of the boxes.
