Youth council for Amesbury
NINE youngsters have been elected onto the Amesbury Youth Council after more than 900 votes were taken at Stonehenge School on May 2.
The members all represent a part of youth in Amesbury, such as school year groups, the scouts, brownies and girls' brigade.
The council itself will be acting as part of a committee of the Amesbury Town Council and will be responsible for handling its own budget in relation to youth spending.
The first meeting will be held as soon as the Bowman Community Centre in Archers Gate opens, and they will be held monthly after that.
