Bench in memory of Bowerchalke couple
VILLAGERS at Bowerchalke will be able to enjoy a view of the church from a bench donated in memory of a local couple Clarence and Rose Hardiman.
Their son Michael formally handed over the bench to village hall chairman David McKillop.
Also present at the ceremony was Joan Bissett, former secretary of the hall committee.
Mr McKillop said: "The Hardiman family can trace their ancestors in Bowerchalke back for over 500 years, and this lovely bench located to enjoy the views of our church is a fitting memorial to this well-known family".
