THE Salisbury and District branch of the Burma Star Association is preparing for its annual VJ Day Parade and service of remembrance which will take place on Friday, August 15 at 10.30am.
Members will be marking the 63rd anniversary of VJ Day.
The parade will take place at the war memorial in the Guildhall Square and among those attending will be the mayor of Salisbury Iris Evans.
After the ceremony there will be a procession to Salisbury Cathedral for a service at the Burma Star commemorative plaque.
