PEOPLE living in and visiting Salisbury are being hit by parking charges higher than anywhere else in the county.
Businesses are suffering, but Wiltshire Council has said it will not review the charges until next year at the earliest.
The Journal says this is unfair and is asking readers to back our Show Some Sense campaign.
We are calling on Wiltshire Council to:
* Reintroduce one-hour parking
* Reduce all-day parking to £6
We also back calls for parking machines which are able to give change to be installed in the city’s car parks so businesses and shoppers won’t be hit by extra charges simply because they don’t have
the right number of coins.
