THE big freeze put paid to every game at Sydenhams and Western League level over the weekend.

December club of the month Bemerton Heath Harlequins' FA Vase last 32 tie at home to Blackfield & Langley was one of those. They were hoping to play it on Wednesday, January 23, but if not, it should go ahead this Saturday.

The reward for the winners is a trip to either Spennymoor Town in County Durham or Lordswood in Kent, to be played on Saturday, February 9.

Bemerton's fixture at Romsey Town was also postponed on Tuesday night. They entertain Gosport Borough in the quarter-finals of the Russell Cotes Cup on Monday, and their Wiltshire Senior Cup quarter-final at Westbury United has been set for Tuesday, February 26 (7.30pm). Downton's Senior Cup quarter-final at Corsham Town was wiped out on Saturday, and has been re-arranged for Tuesday, February 19. Their game at home to Verwood Town was also called off on Tuesday. The Robins travel to New Milton Town on Saturday and have a Hospital Cup quarter-final at home to Shaftesbury Town on Tuesday.

As well as the Downton clash, Verwood Town also saw their home game against GE Hamble postponed on Saturday. They head to Romsey on Saturday.

Their Forest rivals Ringwood Town did not need to make the trip to Fleet Spurs at the weekend, and they are set to host East Cowes Victoria this Saturday in Division One.

Laverstock & Ford's game at home to Petersfield Town was frozen off, and they travel to the Isle of Wight to take on Cowes Sports on Saturday. Amesbury Town's Friday night derby at Andover New Street was postponed, and they welcome Fleet to Bonnymead Park on Saturday.

Shrewton United's Wilts Senior Cup quarter-final at home to Cricklade Town was called off, and there is no new date yet. They are at home to Oldland Abbotonians this Saturday.
