PORTON Sports made it through to the Lord Bledisloe Cup Final with a 4-1 win over Alderbury.

It was 2-0 within 15 minutes, Matt Lucas heading in Ady Hale's free kick, and minutes later Hale released Doug Malcolm who shrugged off the last defender and slotted in the second. Alderbury pulled one back with a header in the second half, but Dano Jones' bending free kick restored Porton's two-goal cushion.

Malcolm then found himself one-on-one and lobbed the goalkeeper to ensure a final date with Wanderers at Bemerton Heath Harlequins' ground on Thursday, April 18.

Wanderers beat Tisbury United 3-2 with goals from Cranmer (penalty), Tim Fewins and Steve Haugh.

Redlynch & Woodfalls United reserves will take on Chalke Valley in the WC Stokes Cup Final, also at Bemerton, on Thursday, April 25.

Their young team beat Nomansland 3-2, despite going behind to Jamie Penfold's header. CJ Mills levelled soon afterwards but Ben Gauntlett restored Nomansland's lead with a 20-yard screamer before half time.

Barnaby Orr was the Redlynch hero, saving Lloyd Jollife's penalty, and Redlynch were visibly lifted, heading in from a corner and scrambling in a winner in added time.

Valley fought back from 3-2 down to beat Alderbury reserves 7-3 in their semi-final. Alex Fulford scored a hat trick and Anthony Rochester, Gary Blake, Andrew Borland and Eric Greenough also netted.

In Division One, Devizes Inn kept up the pressure on Stockton & Codford reserves with a 2-1 win at Durrington WMC. Luke Chadwick broke the deadlock, and Matt Derbyshire made it two before Durrington pulled one back.

Halfway House reserves beat bottom club Enford 4-1, but had to do it from a goal down. Chris Cullen then had a penalty saved, but Harry Bennett equalised before half time.

Ronnie Weeks stroked the ball home after Jimmy Johnson's header came back off the post, and James Hennesey came off the bench to settle any nerves with a tidy finish. Jorden Weeks knocked in the fourth after the visitors failed to deal with a long throw into the box.
