DURRINGTON Dynamos beat Porton Sports 2-1 to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier Division.

Two first-half goals from Ben Puling and Joey Weeks put them in the ascendency before Porton scored from a penalty in the last minute.

In Division One, Nomansland & Landford got their shooting boots on against an Enford side boosted by a couple of wins in the last two weeks. Ben Gauntlett scored early on and further goals from Lloyd Hutchinson and Brad Hallett gave them a 3-0 interval lead. Hallett nodded a second after the break and further goals from Dan Jones and Dan Hayward completed the scoring.

Halfway House reserves racked up a superb eighth consecutive win, beating Durrington WMC 3-1. James Hennessy's dipping volley and Alan Lucas' chip gave them a 2-0 half-time lead. Durrington pulled one back but Lucas slotted in the third from Jimmy Johnson's pass.

On Sunday, Laverstock & Ford went behind at Cedars Bar but super sub Joe Houston scored a looping header to give them a hard-earned point.

In futsal, FC Salisbury United came through their toughest test yet with a 10-8 victory over Swindon RFC. They were 7-3 down but their superior passing told in the end. Toz Judd hit five, Seb Dawes got four and the other came from player-coach Geoff Bonner.

“We were up against it in the first half and it shows great character to keep passing the ball as well as we did in the second half with the belief the opposition will tire,” said Bonner.

“It’s pleasing to see the work ethic the team has when we are up against it. The Swindon team has a great group of individuals with their star man getting man of the match but our Corinthian team spirit is what sets us apart from the opposition again this week and has kept us top of the league, undefeated.”
