DESPITE falling trees and power cuts, Rushmore Golf Club has remained open during the quite extraordinary sequence of poor weather.
Thanks to the chalky soils, the fast-draining Rushmore course has been able to provide a steady flow of competitive golf for its many 'all weather' players.
Members turned out in force to support ex-Rushmore pro Dave Bartlett, whose wife Becky is undergoing treatment for cancer. The £1006 raised will help toward child care while Becky completes her treatment.
Rushmore will host its famous quiz night this weekend, a full house is expected.
