FIFTH placed Salisbury City are set to continue where they left off in Staffordshire when they secured their maiden away win of the year with a trip down memory lane tomorrow.

A re-visit to Blundell Park is in store for city, a place where they made history in 2011 crashing them out of the FA Cup to reach the third round proper at Sheffield United.

It’s a new equation, though, on Saturday when both sides lock horns with a place in the top five in mind.

“It’s going to be another tough game but we’ve got a great chance of getting something,” said Harris, whose team have been away on a training break.

“It provides us with a great opportunity to get some more points on the board and stay in the play-off positions. Our small squad is comfortable winning away. We’ve been disappointed with our away form but winning at Tamworth has given us a lot of confidence.

“We’re in a very strong position but so are Grimsby considering the games in hand they have.

“They are a good side and have enjoyed fantastic runs in the FA Cup and Trophy.”

And with frontman Dan Fitchett returning to his near best – suffering a knee injury round the festive period – with a brace at the Lamb Ground and scoring two past Grimsby in their previous meetings, bodes well for City.

His good form has also been recognised by England C head coach Paul Fairclough after getting a late call-up for their friendly with Jordan on Tuesday.

The striker will fly to Jordanian capital Amman on Sunday with teammate Elliott Frear who is also part of the 16-man squad.

Harris added: “I am delighted for both Dan and Elliott, with Angus on standby, in being selected for the Jordan game.

“It will be a fantastic experience for them to represent their country away from home and I am certain they will do themselves, the club and their country proud.”

Away from the pitch, and during their mini-break from Skrill Premier, City started a programme to help boost home crowds with the Challenge 2000 initiative.

The team paid their first visit to Old Sarum Primary School last week to launch the campaign, with the aim of filling the Ray Mac with 2,000 people for the Kidderminster Harriers game on Saturday, March 29. Harris says they’ve had a receptive response.

“We’ve had some great feedback and the project’s been going really well.”

Salisbury’s league game with Cambridge United will take place on Wednesday, March 26 (7.45pm).
