SHREWTON United leathered five past Pewsey after coming from behind within two minutes of play to win 5-1.
The brighter starting hosts were the better of the two sides, with their urgency being rewarded after their forward took advantage of some hesitant defending before slotting the ball into the bottom corner from 12 yards.
The slow start woke Shrewton up, who immediately took control of the game with Jesse Walters equalising minutes later.
The remainder of the half was played in the hosts’ half, with the pressure finally paying off just before half time when James Dolman fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner from outside the box.
In the second period, United continued to dominate with a Dean Foot dummy in the box allowing space for Ross Bentall to finish to make it 3-1.
The overworked Pewsey keeper continued to keep them in the game with several fine stops before Dom Jackson, pictured right, made it four with a powerful leftfooted strike, following a mazy run by Archie Wilkinson.
Wilkinson completed the scoring with a wonder strike and celebrated with Dolman, who moments earlier had fired wide.
