NOISY engines will be revved to the full when Gurston Down celebrates its 300th event this weekend.

The two packed days of racing action gets underway on Saturday with the British Automobile Racing Club, and the Hillclimb and Sprint Association will hold rounds of their Speed Championships.

Plus, there will be special classes for Westfields, TVRs, Classic Marques, Volvos and pre-war Austin 7s, as well as the usual mix of productionbased machines, sports racing cars and single-seater racing cars.

The schedule follows suit on Sunday, with the first round of the popular and well-subscribed Gates of Brockenhurst Gurston Down Hillclimb Championship.

The BARC SW Top Ten Challenge will take place featuring all the usual classes, with supporting invitation classes for Austin Healeys, Triumph TRs, historic 500cc racing cars and Classic Marques.

Competitive action starts from 1pm on both days, with adults being charged £10, while under 15s, accompanied by and adult, go free.
