YOUNG swimmers from Salisbury Stingrays amassed 126 medals as they showed off their new team strip at a successful home meet.

The spring competition at Five Rivers Leisure Centre featured almost 200 races for swimmers aged from nineto 18, with Stingrays bagging 59 gold, 35 silver and 32 bronze medals.

Medal winners on April 13 included nine year olds Aiden McMullan, Amelia Keen, Alice Butcher, Jacob Priestly and Thomas Doran.With six golds and three silvers, James Chapman was the top medal winner, followed by Oni Taiwo and Sidney Fenwick with five golds each, and Emma Jackson and Natalie Sainsbury both taking four first prizes.

Luke Dear, David Morton, Clare Southon and Phoebe Wing all took home three gold medals.

· Luke, Sidney, Aiden, David and Oni also picked up 'speeding tickets', which are awarded to those taking part in a graded meet who swim faster than the cut off time for an event. Also getting tickets were Lily Battersby and Luke and Elena Demetri.
