RACHEL Holland’s hat-trick and Amy Francis’s effort fired Alderbury under 12s to The Ron Wallbridge Memorial Plate.

The girls beat favourites Boscombe Albion 4-2 to lift the plate, which was sponsored by Ron, father of coach Debbie Adlam, on Saturday for a well-deserved win at Fawley Hants.

Boys under 12s from West Harnham completed their league season with a comfortable 5-0 victory away at Tidworth.

The visitors struggled to get into their stride but a Louis Smith goal ensured they were one nil at the interval. In the second half, Harnham finally managed to turn chances into goals and Smith was able to complete his hat-trick alongside first league goals of the season for Stefan Freeson and James Burt.

Harnham ended in fourth place and now focus on the Testway League Cup Final which will bring their season to an end on Thursday (May 8).

Elsewhere, Shrewton under 14s secured their sixth consecutive victory in their penultimate clash in North Wilts Division 1.

Shrews twice pegged back Kings Stanley thanks to goals from Jim Ward and Jake Watson, before Gavin Martin slotted home James Kennedy’s ricocheted effort for a late winner in the five goal thriller.
