EXPERT cyclist Marcin Bialoblocki pedalled home the fastest to win the Cycle Wiltshire Grand Prix race on Sunday.

The polish sportsman clinched gold in the race, part of British Cycling National Road Race series, which saw more than 120 elite riders from professional teams take part.

Double Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy also entered the competition, which started and finished in Wilton Market Place, completing 10 laps on a scenic route through the county.

“The ride was really great from the very beginning, it’s a great course. The turnout of spectators was great and their cheers meant I could go all out,” said Bialoblocki.

On Saturday, more than 500 people hopped on their bikes to take part in the Cycle Wiltshire Sportive Ride.

This was followed by Five Rivers Leisure Centre hosting the Cycle Wiltshire Village, which gave people the opportunity to take part in sports taster sessions, have free health checks, get their bikes safety checked and a fun cycle track for children.
