CITY of Salisbury’s Ben Brewster made the most of his natural speed at the Yeovilton summer 5k to take second place less than 20seconds behind the winning Phil Burden of Taunton AC.
Brewster clocked 15min 56sec, just 10seconds off his lifetime best, to lead the club contingent at the evening series event.
Not far behind and just a single tantalising second off his best, Chris Southern also looked sharp when he recorded 16.28.
Other finishers were Simon Wiltshire with 18.59, junior Adam Bradburn with a good 19.42, Aly Sloane 21.50 and supervet Gordon Wiltshire 31.34.
