FINANCIALLY troubled Salisbury City have lost three defenders and a winger.

On-going cash problems at the Ray Mac have led to the departure of Luke Ruddick, Callum Hart , skipper Glenn Wilson and wing wizard Elliott Frear.

Ruddick, 24, who has been out injured since September, has joined Sutton United along with Welshman Hart.

Paul Doswell, Sutton boss, said: “These are two good players who have played at a higher level and were very keen to join us.”

Experienced Wilson confirmed on Tuesday he had signed for Aldershot Town after skippering the Whites in every competitive fixture last season.

The 28-year-old said on Twitter he wishes Salisbury all the best in the future. Meanwhile teammate, Frear, who recently got married, has penned a two-year deal with Forest Green Rovers.

The board at the Football Conference threw Whites out of the Conference Premier two weeks ago and relegated them to Conference South for not paying their players’ wages and securing a bond of £50,000.

They have until 5pm on Friday July 4 to settle their football creditors and secure a bond of £50,000 or face being expelled from the Conference.

Owner Mark Winter sent out a rallying cry to businesses and potential sponsors last week to carry on fighting for the Whites.

Mr Winter, who purchased the club with Moroccan-businessman Otail Touzar last month, has banned the chairman as he’s yet to invest a single penny. Now, Mr Winter, 47, is currently trying to get Mr Touzar’s shares signed over to him.

City, now without seven of last season’s squad, start pre-season on Monday.

The others who have left Old Sarum are:

Brian Dutton (Havant and Waterlooville)

Clovis Kamdjo (Forest Green Rovers)

Jamie White (Bristol Rovers)
