AN unstoppable half century from Manny Gurung ensured Amesbury Cricket Club secured their place in the final of the HK Robinson Trophy against Rockbourne.

Following some good bowling and tight fielding from Amesbury against semi final opponents Larkhill Royal Artillery, they restricted Larkhill to 124 off their 20 overs. Mac Aktinson and Dale Gower were the pick of the bowlers taking a handful of wickets between them. In reply, Gurung (73 not out) and opening partner Emile Cilliers (35) shared a first wicket stand of 120. Amesbury reached their target with the loss of just one wicket in the 19th over.

Amesbury face Rockbourne, who eased past Great Durnford in their semi-final, at South Wilts Cricket Ground on Wednesday, August 6 (6pm).
