EARLY leaders Amesbury Town remain at the top of Wessex Division One despite losing 3-0 away at New Milton Town.
Jack Dickson’s double and Kabba Jack’s, pictured above, goal crushed the Blues, but that doesn’t affect their first position due to their substantial goal difference.
Boss Gareth Horner said: “We approached the game in the right way and dominated for long periods.
“New Milton were very effective from set pieces and their two front men and wingers were a constant threat which we looked after.
“We created a number of good clear cut chances which, given that we’ve scored 15 in two, I would have thought we’d take at least one but it wasn't our day. And the fact that their keeper was awarded man of the match tells a story.”
Amesbury visit United Services Portsmouth on Saturday (3pm).
