SECURING a top 50 finish in a Welsh ironman means Salisbury Tri Club’s Scott Hill will be embarking on an unforgettable trip to Hawaii next year.
Hill qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kailua- Kona after coming 29th out of 2,100 competitors in the Tenby-based competition in a time of 10hours 32mins.
Lining up next to Hill was team-mate Joe Green, who clocked 13.15 after completing a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run.
Elsewhere, Dudley Kent, Andy Holme and Nigel Peterson raced in Weymouth. Kent completed the Challenge Weymouth Iron Distance Triathlon in a time of 12.07.
Holme crossed the line not far behind and Peterson also overcame arduous conditions to finish.
Hani Milstein took part in the Big Cow Triathlon in Olney, near Milton Keynes, and won her age group category for the ETU sprint qualifier to go to the European Champs in Geneva 2015.
