YOUNG rugby players from Salisbury RFC and Chafyn Grove School went head-to-head in a fiercely-contested match.
Both sides, representing the under 13s, played three 15- minute periods, and it was Salisbury who grabbed an early lead.
Despite that, Chafyn appeared to be the stronger team but squandered several good opportunities.
The second period was a 0-0 draw, both teams playing well but the defences holding firm.
Either side demonstrated skill, flair and bravery, with the final period seeing Salisbury clinch victory 19-0.
Chafyn coach, James Kaminski, who plays for Salisbury RFC and Dorset & Wilts, said: βIt was a brave showing from the boys and the defensive structure was superb.β
