PORTON came out on top in their Morrison Cup clash with ten-man Cedars, winning by three goals to one.

Porton took the lead inside 10 minutes following great work on the left from Andy Mearns which set up the in-form Andy Fung to finish.

Cedars got the equalizer with a good header and had another goal disallowed for offside before the halftime whistle.

The visiting team scored straight after the restart again as Fung turned and arrowed his shot into the bottom corner.

Then a darting run from Rich Proctor, who was brought down in the box, stepped up to take a penalty which was well saved.

The home goalkeeper performed heroics to keep Cedars in the tie but there was nothing he could do with the third as his own defender put it past him to settle the tie.

Cedars were later reduced to ten men for a straight red.

Porton have reached the quarter-finals.
