SALISBURY’S Wessex Division One trio are bidding to secure a spot in the quarter final draw of the Wiltshire Senior Cup tomorrow.

It’s take two for Amesbury Town, Downton FC and Laverstock and Ford, whose second round matches were postponed last weekend due to being victims of waterlogged pitches.

Bonnymead Park is all set for derby day as hosts Blues welcome Shrewton United from the Wiltshire Premier League, while strugglers Downton look for a second consecutive victory in the cup when Highworth Town visit Wick Lane.

Lavvy are lining up against Marlborough in a revised clash after original opponents Purton were disqualified for fielding an ineligible player in a recent league match.

Dell boss Robbie Lakeman hopes the cup will be a good distraction for his troops.

“Tomorrow’s cup game against Marlborough will be another good test for us.”

“It would be nice to have a good run in the cup as they are games we can go into without pressure and enjoy them, which allows us to try out a few different things and look at ways to improve in the league.”

All cup ties kick off at 3pm.
