SOUTH Wilts left-hander Ryan Burl has picked up a man-of-the-match award in only his second First Class cricket appearance in his native Zimbabwe.
Burl, 20, who has played for the Southern Electric Premier League champions for the past two summers, made two important batting contributions as his franchise team Mashonaland Eagles thrashed Mountaineers by 335 runs in a four-day Logan Cup match in Mutare.
He top scored with 92, hitting three sixes and eight fours, as the Eagles initially piled up 401 and then made 66 in the second innings.
Mountaineers were batted out of the game, making 261 and 115 all out in their respective innings.
