SALISBURY RFC have two season defining moments ahead.

First up, today, for the rampant Green and Whites is a trip to High Wycombe as the road to Twickenham continues in the Southern Counties Intermediate Cup.

Then, the following weekend (February 21), it’s crunchtime as Salisbury host undefeated leaders Swanage and Wareham in Southern Counties South.

They head into the top-of-the-table clash second after tormenting Corsham on Saturday 66-7.

That win means the Castle Road outfit have won their last nine encounters in all competitions and will approach the cup clash in a buoyant mood.

“We now look towards our fixture against High Wycombe with eagerness, eager to travel there and put on a performance we're capable of,” said first team manager Matt Pallas.

“Having played them regularly over the years in the league we know what we're up against.”

“Historically, Wycombe have had a very forward dominated game with a powerful number 8 to be aware of. That said, our forwards have out-matched every opposition pack they've played against.

“We know there's a massive task ahead of us on Saturday, but with good travelling support from Salisbury we know we'll be cheered on for the whole 80 minutes and we plan on putting in another dominating performance. As we play each game in the cup, the stakes rise along with the intensity of the fixture. We're really up for this game!”

If Salisbury are successful, they will play the winner out of Oakhampton & Coney Hill on March 14.
