TEENAGER Katy Cutler marked her second year in the waterpolo GB training programme by continuing her training regime in the capital of Wales.

Cutler, 13, travelled to Cardiff with her national teammates last weekend, a squad that could be further developing their skills abroad, with future visits to Hungary and Spain on the agenda.

The Salisbury Stingrays’ player fitted the training around her packed schedule, which sees her train weekly at Basingstoke and Southampton as well as venturing to Bristol and Exeter to play the Olympic sport.

Funding from Wiltshire Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Award in October covers Katy’s training costs but she is in need of more sponsorship to boost her bid of competing in a European Level competition in 2020.

  • Thirteen goals were racked up by Salisbury Stingrays’ KS3 side as they secured an emphatic win over Christchurch. Six goals from Bobby Speirs, a Danny McGovern quadruple, Conor Bain’s brace and Jed Dennis carried out a 13-3 win.
  • The under-19s didn’t fare as well, going down 10-5 at home to the Seagulls.
