THE escapades and pranks of the legendary “Crazy Gang” will be brought to life by former football manager Dave (Harry) Bassett.

He will join Bemerton Heath Harlequins Football Club for its sportmen’s dinner, which is being held on Saturday, April 18, at the club’s ground at Western Way.

Bassett was manager of Wimbledon FC at the start of the club’s helter skelter ride through the football leagues up to their very top division – finishing sixth.

Guests can spend an evening listening to the stories about the infamous Crazy Gang led by Vinny Jones, who has gone on to star in a number of Hollywood films.

Bassett will also be talking about his experiences managing teams Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Leicester, Watford and Leeds United.

Scott Charlton, the internationally renowned comedian who has played at top venues across the country, will also entertain guests during the evening.

There will be a three-course meal provided by David Brown.

Seating arrangements will be set out in tables of ten and guests are asked to arrive for 7.30pm ready for the first course to be served at 8pm.

Tickets are £50 per head and are available by calling 01722 331925 or 07798732799.
