DECENT Devizes Inn kept up the charge for second place in Salisbury and District Premier Division with a straightforward 4-1 disposal of reigning champions The Wanderers.
An impressive display from the hosts sealed their fourth league win a row which has seen them climb up the league in recent weeks.
Also keeping up the tempo at the right end of the table are South Newton and Wishford, who were 3-1 victors at Chalke Valley to keep in second place.
Despite those comprehensive wins from the in-form sides, Alderbury remain the hotshots to catch as they have coasted eight points’ clear as they approach their final quartet of matches.
On Saturday, they dished out a 12-4 pasting to Amesbury Kings Arms FC, which has inflated their goal difference to 52.
Elsewhere, high-flying Stockton & Codford slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Porton Sports.
Coford will be looking to make amends on Easter Monday in the Morrison Cup Final.
They face Alderbury at Western Way (11am).
