CHEERLEADERS from Salisbury waved the flag for Britain after first-class routines in Paris.
Phoenix Stars Cheerleaders' two squads, Prodigy and Fusion, grooved their way to silver medals in the Future Cheer Brings it On Championships.
Elated team manager Jane Usher was thrilled with the girls' first-class routines, making only a couple of minor errors.
She said: “We knew that we were up against some very strong teams including the British national champions in one division so had to really push ourselves and pull off the performance of a lifetime.
"To get second place in the highest level category we have ever competed in is very satisfying.”
Head Coach, Elly Humphries, said “Now we know that we are more than capable of gaining good results in these divisions and will up our stakes for the National Competitions back in the United Kingdom”
Phoenix Stars was formed in 2012 and now trains approximately 140 male and female athletes per week aged 5 to 18 years at Sarum Academy and Alderbury Village Hall.
