RUSHMORE Golf Club’s Ben Stow will rub shoulders with a collection of star golfers after finding an entrance through the professional door.
The East Knoyle man joined the pro ranks when he accepted an invitation from the European Challenge Tour to make his marker in the Madrid Challenge.
This opportunity is the first of a string of invitations for Stow to play on the Challenge Tour and the main European Tour this season.
If he can earn a tour card from these invitations, he will not need to attend the year end Q School held in Girona in November.
He said: “I'm so excited to be taking my golf game onto the European stage. After an enjoyable and rewarding amateur career, I feel that I am ready to step up.”
Stow picked up 20 England caps during his amateur days.
