TRIATHLETES from Salisbury Tri-Club (STC) have enjoyed a successful couple of weeks.

Katie Clements raced her way round the gruelling Ironman Staffordshire 70.3. The half-ironman event consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run and Katie finished the course in 7h 1min.

Sean Dukes competed at the Blenheim Palace Triathlon, fini-shing a respectable 435th position out of 4,200 starters.

Phil Pettit raced at Windsor in an Olympic distance Triathlon in a time of 2h 31mins on a fast flat course breaking in the top 50.

While the Boskman and Forestman Triathlon in the New Forest was supported with an aid station manned by STC, as well as members participating in the race.

The Boskman event consisted of a 2.6km swim,which was two laps of Ellingham Lake, a 110km cycle across the northern section of the New Forest and a 20km run.

Joanne Bailey exceeded her expectations with a great time of 6:59, finishing first in her age group and sixth woman overall in just her first time racing at the distance. Chris Goodall finished with a fantastic time of 6:28 giving him a position of fourth in category, 29th male and 33rd overall.

Daniel Webber wasn’t far behind with a time of 6:50, placing him 14th in category and 49th overall.
