ALDERHOLT moved just out of the relegation zone in Regional Division 2 West as they recorded a convincing 117-run victory when they visited Beaulieu.

Skipper Steve Willoughby (59) top scored but there was a good stand between Matt Puttock (58) and Guy Andrew (49) that took Alderholt to 247-9.

Beaulieu were bowled out for 130 in the 36th over.

Hyde 2nds dropped into the relegation area after a 62-run home defeat at the hands of Calmore Sports 3rds who reached 233-5 thanks to Sam Vidler (96) and Nigel Hill (67).

Steve Turner (71) did his best to keep Hyde in contention but he got little support as they folded for 171.

John Driscoll (65 no) and Rob Howarth (50) scored the bulk of Verwood 2nds’ 177-4 in Regional Division 3 South West but Parley 3rds won by five wickets thanks to John Herringshaw (78).

Burley 2nds were expecting a tough match when they visited promotion-chasing Winton 3rds at the King George V Playing Fields but they came away with a resounding eight-wicket victory.

Burley lost an early wicket but then Moorman (38) completed an all-round individual performance before Pete Stacey (75 no) and youngster Joe Shenton (24 no) shared in an unbeaten third wicket stand as they won in 33 overs.

A century from Andy Weeks and five wickets for Richard Hough set up Ellingham 3rds’ 119-run victory over Mudeford 3rds in Regional Division 4 South West at Wingfields.
