SHAFTESBURY Town recorded a comfortable 3-1 win over Weymouth Town Reserves in the Dorset Premier League.

After an evenly-contested clash, the visitors took the lead with Connor Jevon's bullet header.

Jack Twyford's free kick was headed home by Matt Chant to level matters in the 56th minute.

Shaftesbury then took the game by the scruff of the neck.

Lee Gale had the net bulging with a 25 yard free kick and a thunderbolt from Chant created some clear daylight between the two sides.

Johnny Hill saved a penalty to prevent any late scares.

Shaftesbury are away at Team Solent in the FA Vase on Saturday.
