THERE was cup fun for South Newton and Wishford United.

They dished out a 3-1 victory over DJC Marlborough to secure a second round place in the Wiltshire Junior Cup.

Adam Payne put Newton ahead at half time after latching onto Richard Tutton's through ball.

Their lead was doubled in the 50th minute after a neat finish from Ashley Blake.

Richard Tutton set up brother, Micky, with a set piece that he nodded into the far corner for a third.

Marlborough pulled one back late on when a rare lapse occurred in Newton's defence.

South Newton central defender/manager Keith Darling praised his squad for a great team performance.

He said: "We were in total control for most of the game and I will be looking for more of the same in both league and cup matches to come for the rest of the season."

Salisbury and District Premier side D.I United also booked their place in the next round.

Luke Ford's men struck a solitary goal to eliminate Porton Sports.
